Course Description: This course is designed to give you the tools necessary to fulfill your future roles as PMEL managers. We will be spending 14-days and 120 academic hours covering all aspects of managing a PMEL. The instructional design for this course is collaborative and group paced. Classes are divided into working groups to research relevant guidance, develop and apply management strategies, self-assess results, and report and defend actions before the class. The instructor monitors, guides, and facilitates. Advanced PMEL Management trains airmen to manage all aspects of precision measurement equipment flights, laboratories, and quality control. Training includes management of laboratory workloads, manning, equipment, budgeting, deployment taskings, training programs, facility maintenance, quality assurance, inspection systems, contracts, continuous process improvement actions, and management reviews.
