Course Description:
This course explores the use of Instructional Systems Development (ISD) process in course design. The course objectives include learning theory, instructional planning, the phases of ISD (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation), and evaluation. Although the ADDIE model is still the Air Force approved model for course development, other industry ISD models will be studied. The course also covers the application of ADDIE to e-Learning. This faculty development course is available through Keesler AFB Faculty Development via distance learning (MyLearning) with a daily collaborative session. The collaborative session will be no longer than an hour and is designed to answer student questions and prepare them for the day's lesson. The course has numerous assignments daily and completion deadlines which require the student?s unhindered attention. Students should be considered TDY in place. Therefore they should not be on TDY status, simultaneously enrolled in another course, or conducting normal duties, which would impact their ability to meet deadlines. Consider these factors prior to enrollment in the course. If conflict may arise, consider an alternate enrollment date. Course dates are available by contacting the course POC.
