Course Description: The Advanced Weather Management Course consists of three parts and utilizes blended learning to provide SNCOs and CGOs with the skills necessary to successfully manage a Weather Operations Unit. Students completing the three-course sequence will obtain a thorough understanding of meteorological and oceanographic (METOC) doctrine, weather station operations, wartime requirements, processes to develop meteorological forecasting techniques and a thorough knowledge of wartime execution orders and staff weather briefing skills. Advanced Weather Management Course, Part 2, (E6AAL1W071 0A2A) is an 80 hr/10-day synchronous online course. Students must be considered "TDY in place" (removed from the duty schedule and relieved of additional duties). Students are expected to attend daily online sessions, where attendance will be taken and interaction with the instructor team and their classmates is mandatory.
